Pre-Admission to Ross

I posted that there was a rumor of a business minor, which there was at the time. I know far too much about Ross and the application process and I’ll post when I have the answer to a question or someone is spewing lies like at the beginning of this thread.

Please, tell me where you heard rumors of a business minor.

Stop trying to act like an authority on the subject. I’m fine with you assisting people on these forums if it’s something like explaining to them the application process, but don’t act like you “know so much” about Ross. Based on your past responses, it seems like you have simply read Ross webpages and just regurgitate that information.

I am a student at Ross and I can confirm that their have been discussions about creating a business minor. Ross is looking for ways to engage students throughout the University, and a business minor program was one of the ideas proposed. I have no idea whether or not it is still being considered, however.

I agree with Kyle about subjectivity and “brown nosing.” Many classes have subjectively graded components which are subject to student-teacher relationships, but in my experience Ross handles this conflict of interest as well as any other school at Michigan.

Nubs

If you are talking to ME, my claims come because I am on the Ross
Faculty. So I heard about the possibility of a minor in a faculty
meeting.

my daughter was admitted into UofM by early admission 4 months ago. She was told that it would be 12 weeks before hearing if she was admitted to Ross. It’s now been 16 weeks…no ‘yes’, no ‘no’. Not a word. Is this par for the course for Ross? She’s been admitted elsewhere and is waiting to make a final decision based on an answer from Ross.

Why the wait?

I dont have anything to do with the admissions but I am hearing of delays from others too. (An old HS friend’s daughter is in the same spot.) In their defense, they are expanding the undergrad program a bit so the size of the admit job is bigger.

I dont think there’s any harm in a polite inquiry, if she or you have the nerve. I made myself do this with one of my son’s apps (elsewhere) and learned that they were indeed running a bit behind

Good luck!!
