Pre-Business Economics at UCLA

I've looked through alot of the past threads, but they all seem to deal with transfer students so it's kinda been confusing. My main question is admission to the major is through L&S, so it doesnt make a difference if I declared this rather than some vague major like Women Studies, since UCLA only considers the colleges your applying too? So Pre-BizEcon should be easier to get into rather than engineering right?

And my other question, the list of pre-requisites, what do you have to complete the courses with? 3.0 or higher? Does that sound about right? I've already gotten a 5 in AB/BC Calc, and say I get a 4/5 in micro/macro, do I get credit for those 4 courses, or is there a cap?

Thanks!

UCLA admits by college, so declaring any L&S major is equivalent (ie, there’s no major by major quotas for entering freshman).

For Biz Econ, you have to have a 3.3 primary score, which is a GPA variant roughly comprised of 1/3 Overall GPA, 1/3 Pre-Major GPA, 1/3 GPA in Econ 11 and 101 (google UCLA primary score calculator for the link to the actual calculator).
