Pre-calc or IB SL Math Year 1?

I'm currently a junior in my school. I've passed the Algebra 2 course (called higher algebra) with A's and A+'s through the whole year. I absolutely love math. Right now I'm enrolled in the IB SL Math course (Year 1). I've been told by people that it's harder than the standard pre-calculus course offered in my school, but I'm starting to doubt that as it seems as though the majority of my class is not familiar with algebra 2 topics. As of now I plan to only take year 1 of this course and in place of year 2 of IB SL, i'll go on to AP Calculus AB my senior year and most likely take the BC exam in May.

Which course is the most difficult, interesting, and fast-paced course? Standard pre-calculus or IB SL Year 1?

Personally, I've never heard of IB SL Year 1 or whatever. What's SL?

I took IB SL 1 last year. I think it's better than regular pre-calc because you will learn som trig and pre-calc. it is pretty fast paced once the years gets under way. Personally, i think you should stick it out.

We have IB Math Methods SL 1, and its basically trig/precalc. Unless ur doing IB, it really doesnt matter anymore

Some schools already offer Trignometry with either Algebra 2 or Precalculus.

My advice would've been to go straight into Calc AB, but I guess that's not an option. The first year of Math SL and pre-calc cover basically the same material, but I think Math SL covers a few topic pre-calc doesn't (probability and vectors). In high school, I took Math Methods I SL, Math Methods II SL, and Calc BC.

Since you're not in IB, I'd suggest pre-calc so you don't have to deal with those dratted math Portfolios.
