I plan to apply to Haas and I'm a spring admit, so I'll be taking my first semester through FPF.

Should I take Math 16A or Math 1A?
English R1A or Rhetoric 1A?

As long as you satisfy the requirements specified at [Prerequisites, Undergraduate Program - Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley](<a href=“Application Process - Undergraduate Program - Berkeley Haas”>Application Process - Undergraduate Program - Berkeley Haas), there is no preference given to one set of courses over another. Pick the courses based on professor and/or your own interest.

doesn’t really matter.

Haas accepts any of the calculus courses.

Which english is easier? R1A or rhetoric? (Those who have taken it…)

It all depends on the teacher. In R1A classes, you have grad students, not professors, teaching. Though, in general, I would say that English and Rhetoric are the harder classes compared to German R5B, which is famous for being easy.

Well, I have to take English while I’m in FPF (from what I know of since I don’t have AP credit to surpass it). I heard you can mix up courses (Is this true?!!). So I mean, I could take English R1A and then German R5B to fulfill the requirement, right? Or is it English A and B?
