Are there significant advantages to joining P.A.D or any other pre-law fraternity when applying to law school and when graduating from law school? I'm not exclusively talking about concrete benefits like admissions advantages but any advantages for that matter?

Coming from a member of Phi Alpha Delta (I’m president of my chapter), it does help you to a certain point. Though I wanted to go to law school, I did not know the path to law school. PAD did help me figure that out and it is good to be amongst people who are also going through the same process as you.

The perks of joining an organization like this is the discounts and networking. I got a free kaplan extreme lsat prep course just for being President of my chapter. There are bros in my chapter who have secured internships from networking inside the fraternity.

I don’t know if i answered your question or not, but free feel to pm and we can discuss this more in depth

The organization itself gives you no advantage. Law schools will be indifferent towards being a member and in no way will you get any sort of advantage getting a job.

If anything the advantage you’ll get out of it is discounts for LSAT classes and learning (although little directly through the actions of the organization) about law school and life as an attorney.

However, like any organization if you take advantage of the networking and opportunities presented to you, you can get something out of it.
