I'm a strong believer of making your dream college on a sheet of paper and attending the one that best fits it. And I need suggestions.

So here it is.

Has a med school, good pre med program and opportunities, possibly a BS/MD program or programs like it, a good undergraduate focus (I hear Dartmouth and Princeton focus on their undergrads), not known for grade deflation (if anything, inflation please), prestigious (preferably Ivy), no SEVERE cut throat competition (I like competition but not to the point where its disgusting), good science research opportunities, not isolated from a city or shopping/restaurant areas, near NY (as in NH, MA, CT area) but not necessary, and although prestigious it has a good school spirit...I won't die in my studies.

I've been looking into Dartmouth and Brown. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Hm… Have you looked at any non-ivies as well? Your descriptions fit a place like Wash U fairly well (my friend who’s going into medicine is giving up an acceptance to Yale to go there) and maybe even Northwestern. Both have great medical programs, some type of BS/MD type track, are in big cities (though not in NE like you said), etc.

I know someone who went to Northwestern and then nearby Dmouth for his residency, and he likes it a lot there. I know he didn’t go undergrad there, but he likes the atmosphere (though it is very far and isolated), and says all the people from the school that he knows are great. I’m not too sure about Brown’s program, I’ve never even heard that much about it. Also, Princeton is pretty infamous for grade deflation (but does seem to fit the other descriptions) Sorry I’m not much of a help with those three, just making other suggestions.
