I am currently a junior in high school, I've pretty much set my site on one college where I really want to go which is VCU. If I don't get into VCU, then I'd be upset but I'd plan to go to a CC and transfer to VCU. What my question is, is since I'd be doing 2 years in CC is it good to go to transfer to a somewhat easier University for Pre-Med and finish my 2 years there and apply for Med school? or Stick with VCU?

Is VCU Virginia Commonwealth Univ?

I think it’s too early to be talking about where you should transfer to. What are your test scores and GPA? Are you instate for your deisred school?

I have to ask…Why do you think you won’t get accepted to VCU? Cuz if you can’t get into VCU are you sure that you’re a strong enough student to do well enough in college to become a doctor?

I have not heard of the “easier” pre-med programs.
Your goal is to get all pre-rqs done in acceptable way, get very high GPA, decent MCAT, participate in meanningful ECs and apply as early as possible during application cycle. Others might have other opinions, mine is based on my D’s experience.
