Pre-req Question

If say a Pre-req for admission in some major is to have a 2.5 gpa overall in a group of 2 courses. If one applies after have only taken 1 of these classes, and is currently enrolled in the other--trying to transfer next fall--would they just look to see if you passed the first class, or you would have to get over a 2.5 from the beginning--i.e. the first class?

Apologies if that was hard to follow.

Anybody?

Bump

I think it depends which term the first class is in. The update includes Fall 07 grades and Winter intersession if you did one and get the final grades before the update. Depending on your other classes and grades in them they might ask to see your grade from the class in progress if you are a borderline admit. If it's only one class I don't think they worry too much especially if they know you're taking it right now. Not an expert on this though, call UC they have answered all my questions and I have had some very specific ones.

Yeah, the class doesn't end till late May.

Admissions offers are always conditional admissions. Most likely you will be admitted under the condition that you complete the courses with the required GPA.

i just checked the UCLA website and it says that bio engineering is required to take ochem, but since its not a pre req to transfer i assume that people usually take it in there junior or senior year. general bio is also a pre req.

heres my problem. i will be done with ochem and 2 quarters of molecular cell biology by the end of this year, but i said i will take general bio during the summer. will my cell bio classes count towards general bio? and is summer curriculum considered as "before you transfer"?
