Is it okay to be completing pre-reqs during the school year before you transfer?
I will be majoring in molecular bio and taking organic chem, physics, and bio during fall 2010 and spring 2011 and will be transferring in fall 2011. With a high GPA should I worry that the only pre-reqs they are going to see on my transcript is calculus 1&2 general chem?

I know if I was determining transfer students fate I would like to see their grades in their pre-reqs for their major. Does this ideology hold true for the transfer admissions counsel.

My questions pertains to admission to UCLA and UC Berkley.

I have no idea where people are getting the idea that IP is a bad thing. Here’s my reply from another thread:

Plenty of people get in with pre-reqs in progress. It’s unrealistic to think that they expect you to finish ALL of your IGETC and pre-reqs in 3 semesters and have nothing to do in Spring 2010, especially when IGETC and pre-reqs are designed with 4 semesters in mind.

They’re gonna see your fall 10’ grades. In January 11’ you need to update your fall grades. And you’re fine, most bio major follow the same sequence. Just do very well in them and you’re good

Alright thanks for your guy help!
