Pre-screen

*LOL**
It is exciting! Things are stressful enough without having to worry about the academic piece. At least the kids can go into the audition with one less thing on their minds.

BTW for those auditioning in Chicago, how far away is the Joffrey Tower from Palmer House? Yes…I know I could just mapquest it.

It’s not far, frazzled. Just a few blocks.

LOL @ frazzled. Sometimes that’s how I feel. “Why google when I can ask CC?!”

D got the email yesterday that she passed her pre-screen. She submitted it a little over 24 hours before that. She is auditioning for the film/tv acting major. She had already received her academic acceptance with the nice scholarship (or shall i say “tuition discount”) last month.

Yay!

Yay sydism!! Congratulations!!

Congrats to your daughter, sydism. I like “tuition discount”! HAAAA!

GSOMTmom, that terminology came from a college counseling course that I took. I don’t want people to think that I am not extremely appreciative of the offer for D.

When another student in my class said “tuition discount” I started thinking “yeah, I guess that’s what it really is” as opposed to outside scholarships that can be applied to college costs.

Either way, we’ll take it, especially since she loves the school!
