Im going into Rutgers class of 2017 as a psych major doing the pre med path. However, I'm taking the placement test soon, and Im worried. My math educations been really bad. I know i need to take calculus as a pre med, but what if I don't get in? What would be my other options?

Don’t be worried. The problems you will encounter on the placement exam are very basic precalculus. And If you don’t end up being placed in Calc I, the chances are, you will be placed in precalc depending on how many problems you get wrong. Take precalc and then take calc I.

Statistics is also, for some strange reason, considered a math course by med schools…so that’s another option. Many non-science majors take calculus I and statistics in order to avoid having to take calculus II.

But the thing is, as a premed, i have to take physics with lab too right? Doesnt physics require calculus? And i want to get pretty much all of my main classes out of the way in the first two years
