prep book vs test

i've been prepping for the SATs for a good while now. i was just wondering, do the scores that you take on the practice SATs align with the actual SAT scores? i've heard that the practice SATs try to make it harder so that it wont be as difficult when yoy take the actual test, but im not sure

Depends on the book that you use...

On the Barron's -> harder
Kaplan -> easier
Princeton Review -> some harder, some the same
CB book -> pretty close

Based on my opinions anyway

The blue book's math is a fair bit harder than the real thing. Barron's is just...yeah, much harder.

errr
didnt get that analogy you made naidu...was that Barrons is harder than the actual test or is the test easier than the Barrons book???
I sure hope it is the first

^ its both of them...u said the same thing twice :)

^^ lollies

lol, i meant is the test harder than the book, and since this is not the case, i am exhilarated...:D

yes Barron's is harder than the actual test

I actually found Kaplan to be harder than the actual test. I don't think I ever broke 1900 on a Kaplan test and scored down into the 1700s, and got a 2080 on the actual thing.

yeah, i found kaplans to be harder than the actual test too.
