I am thinking of taking the Princeton Review Prep Course for $800. (Original $200 off because of a discount and a coupon i found)
If you took the Princeton Review Prep Course or any prep course before, what was your experience? Was it really beneficial or not?

If you have before and after scores, please post! XD

In addition to taking the prep course, I will study myself with about 8 practice tests i got. I wont just rely on it.

It depends on how familiar you are with the test. I took during the summer of 8th grade and I remember the tutor just went over what was in the book and that was it. So I guess if you have the motivation to just read it yourself and do 3 practice tests, you can save $800.

I did PR's online prep course and it was really excellent. The course materials are different than the Cracking book, although I really liked that too. I have found the strategies very useful (although I'll know for sure after tomorrow!), and the tests are great too.

I couldn't do a classroom course but did have access to instructors online and they're very helpful, so I would definitely recommend them overall.

my school offered a course held on weekends once a month for about 6 months. pretty much all we did was stuff from the college board SAT prep book, which i am pretty sure can all be found on the website too.

personally, i would not spend $800 on somehting you can probably find online. the college board site has practice questions and if you get the book it even has full practice tests (i dont think its that expensive either). However, i'm not too familiar with the princeton review, so maybe it is REALLY good.

anyway, my score went from a 176 sophomore year to a 200 this year and the only real prep i did was take practice tests, etc. and use the collegeboard website.
