prepping for the math section of SAT

In general, you prep for the verbal section by studying vocab.. but how do you prep for the math. I've been studying and prepping for this test for about 2 years now, i will be a junior next year, and my score wont budge from like a 1250.. im aiming for 1450+.. I have no idea what to do anymore..!! My verbal score is ALWAYS better than my math and i would really like to know what the best book is to prep for the math.. I'm a pretty good math student in school and im a pretty good student overall, but i just cant seem to ace the SAT's.. ahh.. and now that theres a grammar section on the sat, i find that to be very very difficult also.. how do i prep for the grammar section.. this book called "grammatix" is it good? Can i buy it at any bookstore...? eh.. i seriously need help..

Try the Xiggi method- sticky above.
Practice the math section only, without limiting your time.. Then you should progressively put yourself into testing conditions (time, places outside of home, etc.) after you improve on practice tests. Make sure you know what you did wrong- take the time to look back on the questions you missed, and try not to make the same mistake the next time. You should improve, but different methods work for different people.
Make sure you know how to use your calculator effectively as well. Review doing simple math functions in your head, without mistakes- it'll probably speed you up a bit.. But that's after you have a good handle on the material.
Good luck!

Consider hiring a tutor to come to your house to explain why you got certain problems wrong. I was stuck in the 600~ range on my practice tests but got up to a 700+ after that...

Well once you know the material covered on the math section, I would recommend skipping around. Many people will stay on one question then run out of time at the end.

wuts the xiggi method, ive heard so much about it.. but i dont know wut it is.. lol.. and wut about grammatix.. does anyone know anything about that? is it good?

I think there is a "sticky" thread regarding the Xiggi Method here (SAT and ACT Tests & Test Preparation).
