<p>I'm planning on applying to UCLA and UCB by the end of the year and I had a question about the prerequisites. </p>

<p>UCLA for my major requires a year of biology and at my school to take Biology 1 you have to take a introductory class. </p>

<p>Does taking the intro to biology for 1 semester and biology 1 for the second semester count as 1 year of biology? Or do intro classes not count as prereq classes?</p>

<p>By the way I'm transferring from a UC so all the credits transfer.</p>

<p>i'd imagine that ucla would specify which bio course you must take to fulfill that req't. they may be more vague concerning breadth courses. use assist.org and consult a ucla counselor over the phone... it's always good to verify suggestions on college confidential with admissions people at the schools.</p>
