Pres-screen results, anyone?

Thanks @MTnSWVA!

For those who didn’t pass pre-screen @ Ithaca but have an application still hanging out there, what did you do?
Switch to Theater Studies BA?, another major? or forget about it and move on? Thanks!

Am I the only one who has yet to hear from UMich?

We were at CMU this weekend, and some kids there still hadn’t heard from U Mich.

We know 2 from our school who have not heard…

We are still waiting on U Mich as well too. In reality we will have a tough time even finding a way to work it into the Unifieds schedule we have pieced together over the last few months. I would hate for our D to miss an opportunity to audition for them, but we will have to let her prioritize.

I called Michigan on Friday and they said she should hear back by next week. Same thing they said when we called them on 12/14. He said they did not anticipate the huge number of applicants when they gave the original date that we were suppose to hear by. @MTnSWVA we are in the same boat. She has a performance that conflicts with the Chicago Unifieds and we have conflicts with the few remaining audition dates they gave on their website. At this point for her to audition for Michigan she would have to forgo an audition to another school that is high on her list. This has been so frustrating.

All of my MT prescreen results are in. It was a “no” from Texas State, Syracuse, and Penn State, and a “yes” from Ithaca and Pace. Not really sure how to feel. I think I should probably add some more “second tier” schools to my list :-/

I just got a yes from my only prescreen, Marymount Manhattan! If anyone else is going to be at the LA Audition on the 22nd, I guess I’ll see you there!

@lrfmt18, I would say focus on the positive. A yes from Ithaca is a hard one to come by, and Pace has many great things to offer. My D got a “no” from Ithaca, Penn State, Michigan, Otterbein and Shenandoah and a yes only from Pace and SUNY Fredonia(their first year of prescreens.) We panicked a little and we did add a few more schools but we are feeling a little calmer now. You have to believe it will all work out. You give it your best shot and focus on trying not to compare with others and you have to laugh at how ridiculous it all is. Y
ou will all survive and be stronger for it!

it’s been six weeks since I submitted my NYU Steinhardt prescreen-should I contact them? or worry?

@BalletPotter defintely contact them. I heard back within a day or two.

Still have friends who never heard from Umich.

I heard yesterday, but I also submitted mine two days before the deadline. If they sent theirs in right before the deadline, I’m sure UMich will get to it to them today, but if not, I would have them contact the office. @destiny95

Hi, I’m an international piano student from Italy. I sent my application to CIM and Juilliard. I have already received an audition invitation from CIM  . Has anyone heard anything from Juilliard School for MM piano yet?

@fabiodis90 - congrats on invitation to audition from CIM. You might want to post in music major forum- this is musical theater (singing and dancing etc)

Ops! I’m sorry!!!

@rocsocks thank you for that. I’ll keep my chin up! I still have 16 schools left, and I only really need one “yes”!

Finally heard from UMICH this weekend. It was a yes but the dance call will conflict with another dance call possibly so now D will have to decide what to do.

Hi all!! I am about to start the pre screen process myself this fall!! Can anyone confirm if Emerson, CCM, and nyu TISCH (not steinhardt) require pre screens?? Thanks !!!
