I heard at the Penn State audition that Indiana is narrowing its prescreens down to around 90.
That is why it is taking so long.
If that is true, it’s good. It’s not always beneficial to be part of a 500 group of passed prescreens. Especially when they don’t go to unifieds. I would feel better about flying there if I knew we had at least better than average odds.
Indiana historically narrows down their prescreens to a very small number, which I love. When my D applied there, they told her they passed 98 students through the prescreen. BUT, they also take a long time to decide…I remember we received an email pretty late (March, maybe?) saying “You are on our short list for consideration,” which, it turns out, meant the wait list. But it took awhile. Great program, really wonderful people. I was very impressed.
submitted all prescreens at deadlines - have only heard back from 2 schools so far - both were invitations to audition: FSU, Penn State. Also asked to schedule auditions for Coastal Carolina. Scheduled Elon’s audition - got their last date available. Still waiting on Ithaca and Wagner (and I don’t think other presecreens were sent in yet - if there are any others…), and waiting NYU acknowledgement email. Still need to schedule Rider audition (which will do now). Also waiting on results from Muhlenberg and Catholic auditions… (Catholic promised it will come tomorrow, same day as FSU academic acceptances.)
Got a yes from Pace and Webster, both took about a week. Still waiting to hear from Michigan and Ithaca they were also sent in roughly a week ago as well.
I’m just gonna jump on and post for the first time ever… (I’ve been lingering on CC for what seems like forever)
I passed my Ithaca, Florida State, and Pace prescreen within 3 or 4 days. Sent in my Michigan on 11/30, actually it was past midnight on 12/1. No word on that yet, but after reading the previous posts it seems like we may not know for a bit still!
