Finally heard from Peabody via Postal. Passed prescreening for VP

D got the packet from Peabody via postal today too. Unfortunately, itâs the same day as NEC so I think sheâll decline. Sheâs happy that she passed all 5 prescreenings she applied for -

Small world! Iâm a senior flute major at Baldwin-Wallace. Good luck with the auditions! Iâm sure youâll find B-W to be the most welcoming and comfortable atmosphere compared to the other schools on your list. If you have any questions about the school/area please feel free to contact me! :-)

@Mater:

Same thing happened to me but with graduate flute auditions! One of my friends went to Peabody a few years ago and told me that Peabody has always felt they were NECâs rival so a lot of the auditions are specifically scheduled for the same day in order to eliminate people auditioning at both places and choosing NEC in the end. It looks bad on the admissionsâ part when students decline them instead of the other way around. Thatâs why sometimes youâll get denied pre-screening at the schools you thought were shoe-ins, but end up passing Juilliardâs or Eastmanâs. haha. FLUTE IS SO POLITICAL!! lol

@musician4u

The deal breaker for her was that she is already is going to Pittsburgh and Boston that weekend, so it seemed simpler to stay in Boston than add a third city to the mix.

I passed the composition prescreening at BoCo. Good luck everyone!

Juilliard prescreen (strings) results just received by email.

Passed Juilliard for flute!!! 10/10!!! Yayy!!! :D

I passed the Juilliard pre-screening for cello, too!
All I need now is to do well on the live audition and hear from Columbia to be considered for the Columbia-Juilliard Exchange programâŠ

has anyone heard back from ucla yet?

ÂAs an international student, I still have much confidence to make that 5 schoolâs interview. WellïŒ thatâs my typo which has been posted for many days :P. ActuallyïŒ there is little (very little) confidence for me to make the interview. A ha :P
