Wait, wait, wait.

So, how are we supposed to know if we've been invited/admitted to this honors program, and what does the CAS scholarship have to do with it?

I just called in and asked a couple of questions so..!

To answer the above posters: if you were invited to the Honors program, you should have received a letter with the invitation about one or two weeks ago. When you got your acceptance packet, you probably should have gotten your FinAid form with it (ie. $x000 in loans, $x000 in grants). Your scholarship for getting into the Honors program is the CAS Scholarship. There are people who will get a CAS Scholarship who won't get into the Honors Program--my friend received a CAS Scholarship, and was not accepted into Honors. I believe that if you didn't apply for FinAid, it's possible that the scholarship money you get will be of a smaller amount than those who did apply.

All of the Honors classes are the same as those classes for NYU students that are not in the program (ie. no smaller classes, extra seminars, etc. for Presidential Scholars)

Hmm... I didn't receive anything about scholarships or financial aid, just the letter that tells me I've been invited to the Presidential Scholars Program. Are they still sending out notifications for FA? It makes me think that I have to apply in order to get the money.

so getting to the presidential honors program means you MAY or may not get scholarship money depending on if you applied for FA
also, the honors program is not too different from being a regular NYU student
their website says they invite the top 5 percent of applicants?
