Question:
Once you're a semi, does basically everything ride on the interviews, or are they still considering your scores/essays/application?

i think from there its your recommendations, resume and interview

resume meaning everything, basically?

well a regular resume . . .

i dont know what you mean

Lilshamz:The resume format that D received looked like a a standard one page format to aid the interviewers. Really didn't leave space for elaboration. She has already been contacted by the area committee head. Received a X-Mas card from a local alum as well. Nice touch.

Now that they will have the remainder of your documentation, in addition to poise, they will also be looking for veracity and puffery.

Got it. Sorry, misread the earlier statement. Thanks

Everything is still considered. No reason to wipe the slate clean, is there? Someone with an amazing leadership record should still get credit for that, I would think. The interview and recommendations are important, but so is everything already turned in.

like i said, your resume, recs and interview.

your grades and other reported information have brought the applicants this far and now its really who you are that will do the rest.

at least in my opinion.

goodluck everyone!

my regional coordinator told me that they base selection on total accumulated "points" that they assign to certain things. for example, he said that the interview was worth 15% of the entire "score"

yup.

at the end the highest scores are selected as finalists.

@H5N1: I'd love the whole breakdown if you're willing to share.

That's all he told me. :( Do they count the resume as part of the evaluation? I thought that the sole purpose of the resume was as a tool for the interviewers to have a clue which way to direct the questions or something.
