How do you find about about the presidential scholarship (both if you get it and if you don’t)? Is it a big package like the acceptance package, or is it just a small letter saying “Congrats!”? What is different about how they tell you you are a recipient or if you are not a recipient? Thanks
We’ll find out in 2 weeks or so.
Do you know how we find out? I know acceptance letters were that big package while rejections are small letters. What about the scholarship?
Last year the scholarship letter was uploaded on the applicant portal and that’s how we found out, but later on we got a letter as well. I think it was a smaller envelope, but I’m not 100% sure.
@jackc10 – did you interview for the merit Presidential scholarship? If yes, USC will send you a letter (small envelope) usually just before all decision packets are mailed to let you know which scholarship you are awarded. Most will receive the Presidential, some may be bumped up to Trustee, and a few may be bumped down to Dean’s. If you are NMF and didn’t get the P/T interview, you will learn about your admissions with all the admittees (decision letters mailed priority on 3/23 and on portal 3/26). If you are admitted (yay) you will not see anything mentioned about your automatic NMF presidential in your acceptance (large packet) mailing. All NMF have until a certain date (approx May 1) to list USC as the #1 choice with NMF and that info in then sent on to USC. Hope this covers all the bases.
Yeah I only interviewed for the Presidential Scholarship… I hope I get it; I was really nervous during my interview and blanked out on all the interesting parts of my life
