Congratulations students! Roll Tide!

Ya’'ll will just have to excuse my bragging…President’s List here again for my daughter and my nephew. Roll Tide!:)

http://uanews.ua.edu/2012/06/deans-list-students-named-for-ua-spring-term-4/

Brag away. Congrats!!

I see our Hawaii contingent of Malanai’s son & Rose808’s daughter made the list as well:-)

Congrats to all CC’ers whose kids are on the list. Roll Tide!!

Thanks, Casino. Congratulations to all for a job well done!

Discovered that 6 out of 7 kids from my school who were freshmen last year made the President’s List. Mhm, 3rd tier school indeed.

OOS may make up 50% of the recent incoming classes but 2/3 of the list are for AL addresses. Congrats to all who are on it!

:) One of those locals from Ttown is my nephew…I’m so proud of him! He’s a great student and a great young man.:)

I noticed the same thing, latte, wonder why that is?

Very proud of our son Chris making President’s List!!

Roll Tide… !

Congrats Searchguy!

Congrats to all of these driven young men and women! It’s awesome to watch it happen through this forum and live in person…!!

Congrats to all!

For the second semester in a row, our little home town of 20,000 had more students on the list than any other city in Illinois, with the next closest city, Springfield, having two less. :-)

RTR

Woot! Thanks for posting this, I forgot about it going out in the summer.

WOW, congrats to all!

Son made Dean’s List. Has a 3.892 overall GPA (3.871 earned at UA). From reading around, I see that President’s List means all As. LOL, not sure that’s ever gonna happen for DS. His Greek professor is a really hard grader, and he’s taking very advanced courses in both Greek and Latin.

But 3.89 is great, and I’m very proud of him. Proud of all our UA kids. Congrats!!

Nice to see Stokes County, NC represented! Congrats to you and your son!

I’ll hazard a guess. Even though the freshman class was over 50% OOS, I think the overall in-state percentage is still over 60%. It’s probably going to be coming down every year, though.

Congratulations to all the students on the list!

Congrats to all those students on the Dean’s list and President’s list! DS named to President’s list for the 4th semester in a row! Can’t believe it’s been 4 semesters. Time really does fly! Enjoy it parents! ROLL TIDE!

Yay, thanks for posting this!!! Very proud over here in the 808 state :)

Yes we are, Rose! Da President’s List is no ka oi.

And thanks for the shout-out, casinoexec. Very much appreciated, mon frere.

Roll Tide to all y’all from Paris and congrats to all the bright, hard-working students who’ve earned their props the old fashioned way.

LOL, @loring! Thanks!! And congrats to the High Point (and environs) kids too!

Two girls DS knows made the President’s List. When he told me about this, I said, nonchalantly (NOT trying to be Tiger Mom-ish, really!!!): “Well, that gives you something to aspire to.” His response: “Nah, I like girls who are smarter than I am.” Gaaah.

I think DH needs to give him a pep-talk, lol. Recently we vacationed back in my home state of Massachusetts. DS was really enamored of the Boston-Cambridge area; now he wants to go to law school there. Perhaps that will serve as an incentive spurring him to strive for his personal best (e.g., not waiting till the last minute to study for the Greek mid-term).

But, OK, now I am being way too Tiger Mom-ish. Mea culpa!!!
