Thank You

TASP, Scholastic Art and Writing, NCTE, National History Day..

What is NCTE?

national council of teachers of english... they have a contest for juniors.. not all schools do it though.. mine doesn't.

There's this award called the 'I have no passions and I live my life in order to look good on paper' award... I think it's nomination-only, though.

As a side note, when do we hear back from NCTE?

bump,
anyone know the answer to the question above? I'm dying to hear the results.

I'm pretty sure they announce in late September (for NCTE). I didn't really format my impromptu correctly lol - it was a letter to the editor and I wrote it like a regular essay, so im scared about that.

Cogito - Programs - Competitions

Scan that. Ann Rand's Essay Competition is pretty popular though.

I dont think I've heard of any besides the ones listed above and I never even heard of the NCTE...my school doesnt do that.
there really are ridiculously few compared to the amount offered for math/science.
which sucks
hopefully they realize that though
