Hey guys, so I just had preview yesterday - it was nice. However, I have been trying to register for classes and all I can get (that I need for my major) is CHM2045, and there is only ONE section! This is driving me nuts. I'm planning to stalk ISIS this summer but I was just trying to see if anyone else is having this problem?? For current UF students, does registration get better after the first semester!?!?? Thanks.

@ Vic: Since you’re “planning to stalk ISIS this summer,” I assume you registered for Fall. What’s your major (e.g., Chem)? Which CHM 2045 section did you get? What courses did you want but could not get?

chem is historically a pain to register for. good luck. and yes, registration does get easier from here on out, though don’t expect to get all the classes you want every time.

Yup, fall. My major is Biochemistry. I am in section 0717 for chem. This is kinda a big jump from SF, where I could go talk to professors that would often let me into their class. I also want to make sure that I get a decent professor. I usually email professors to find out what sections they are teaching. I have sent a few to professors emails but they are sadly not teaching. It seems, however, that it wouldn’t have mattered if they were because of the slim pickings. So I’m just going to hope for the best. I wanted to get into APK2100C (anatomy). There are sections of anatomy available but they start at 7:25 (I live thirty minutes away) with a crappy professor (not Tillman). I truly value my education and want my first semester to be a good experience - I take classes for the knowledge AND the grade. Fingers crossed on the stalking though…

Afora - thanks. That’s encouraging to hear!! I’ve been considering FSU for the pain that this has been! Very discouraged with UF but I know everything will probably work out.

Is CHM2046 or CHM 2047 easier to register for?
