I also got the confirmation email but I sent my 2013 tax forms by fax and I dont know if they got it yet.

Lol @hopefulperson and @sdiesschh I’m applied for CBE too! I really love genetics.

@HPClee Are you QuestBridge by chance??? I sent tax forms on the 30th I think and got a fax confirmation in about 5 minutes. The confirmation email from the PFAA after submitting it as well. Maybe call just to confirm. You don’t want copies of your tax forms floating around.

If I got in I’d withdraw from all except Harvard. Maybe Harvard even. (Lol look at me talking as if I’ll get in)

@emenya no i am not. I actually asked them to email me if they got my tax forms but I haven’t gotten anything even after one day

When do we starting getting interviews?

@sr97329 From what I’ve heard, usually mid-November.

Applicants in Georgia received interview requests yesterday.

Is there any way to be sure if alumni interviews are available in your area? I live in a suburb near a big city, so I’m assuming there’ll be at least one Pton alum nearby Haven’t gotten any emails yet about interviews.

For any CC’ers who might be interviewers on this thread, Do QuestBridge Finalists get interviews?

@alliekinz Don’t worry! No one I know has received an interview yet, and I live near San Francisco in the Silicon Valley, which means that there are a ton of alumni nearby. They’ll probably start scheduling interviews in mid to late November.

@Ambitious19 Whew. Yeah, I live near Cincinnati, and I assume there are alums around here, too. I guess all we can do is wait (some more)

I think it depends on the region and the school’s alumni system. I know that for my region, only Harvard has already given interviews while Yale, Princeton etc. are still tbd.

Hey, I’m late to this thread but I applied to SCEA in mid/late October (my school requires we apply a little bit before deadlines so they have time to send transcripts). I live in NJ, very close to NYC, which means there are definitely many potential interviewers in my area. I received an email about an interview yesterday. My interviewer wants to meet this week or next week at my local community center. Hopefully I do okay, but on the bright side I have heard interviews aren’t usually make-or-break for acceptances.

Getting into Princeton would be awesome but I am really, really, really not expecting much. Good luck to everyone! Don’t get your hopes up too much and remember, if Princeton doesn’t want you, don’t take it personally because you will succeed wherever you go!!

Are any of you guys interested in the Bridge Year Program? I am!

@yebhip YES!!! The Bridge Year program sounds so so so amazing and I would be incredibly grateful to have a yearlong international service opportunity even before starting college. Princeton has some student blogs dedicated to students’ Bridge Year experiences and it sounds absolutely life-changing.

Hey everyone! I applied SCEA to Princeton a few weeks ago. Just wondering, but does anyone know what big difference it makes applying BSE or AB makes if I wanted to study computer science? I applied AB because I like the freedom the bachelor of arts degree comes (reflected in my essays) with but then I felt that I didn’t have much space in my application to talk about my skills or passion for the subject… Wrong/right decision or probably doesn’t even matta? Good luck everyone with RD apps anyway! Hopeless but hoping… come mid-December - I guess that’s all of us.

@Frozengogurt The BSE option does give you a chance to show your passion and dedication for your first choice major in another essay, but I have the feeling that if you’re going to get in, it’ll be with or without that essay/major choice. Good luck to you too!

It makes essentially no difference as students at Princeton have the latitude to change between AB and BSE provided that they have the required math/physics preparation to go from AB to BSE (or ability to attain second language proficiency going from BSE to AB). You would likely be surprised at how many students do change over their undergrad years. The only benefit to applying BSE is the opportunity to express your interest further in the form of the engineering essay but my thought is that admissions takes it with a grain of salt knowing many, many students change direction mid-stream anyway.

How long did it take for an interviewer to contact you? I submitted my app a few weeks ago and haven’t gotten anything since. Also, it might be worth noting that I live less than 10 minutes away from Princeton, so I find this a little unusual as I would expect there to be plenty of alumni around my area.

Just wondering, any Canadians applying?

Where my homies from Texas??? :)

@kevinjuan I submitted my app on Oct. 30 (I’m pretty sure?) and got an interview notification on November 7 or 8 (I have a terrible memory for dates/time). So it took me a little more than a week to get a notification. I live in a large city, so that might have helped.

@emenya Texan here!
