i didn’t get one… however i did send all my financial aid forms in feb when i was sending out all my forms…
Does the missing PFAA mail say that you need to send only PFAA or also your tax-return documents?
@Starior Mine says also tax-return documents.
In past years, it appeared that students who received a missing financial aid documents email had a higher chance of acceptance based on the wording of the email itself (however, note that this is all highly speculative). Here is how mine looks:
Dear herpinderpin:
We received your 2016-17 Princeton Financial Aid Application (PFAA); however, we have not yet received a copy of your parents’ 2015 federal income tax return and W-2 statements.
Please fax a copy of these forms to our office at 609-258-0336 using your PFAA email confirmation as a coversheet. If the 2015 documents are not yet available, please send a copy of the 2014 forms.
Sincerely,
Princeton University
Undergraduate Financial Aid
Does anybody’s look different, or is addressed from a specific person rather than “Undergraduate Financial Aid”? Just curious
I think it just says to fill out the PFAA. I wonder if those who got it in February and those who got it this week got the same email and if it means the same thing.
@herpinderpin Might be a good sign for you since I only sent in my parents’ tax stuff a couple days ago, and they probs didn’t have a chance to process it yet, and i didn’t get any kind of email like that…
I got that exact email @herpinderpin I pray to God it is good news for both of us
Are you guys rd or scea deferred?
RD here!
I’m an RD applicant.
RD!
RD also!
I’m talking to the people who had the financial aid email
I got the same email about financial aid stuff, but i sent it at the end of February after they 1st emailed about it, so idk why they dont have it. im sure the email address was right. I dont want to get my hopes up since Financial Aid and Admissions are two different things, but as my english teacher said maybe you are a serious consideration so they are keeping track of you, but who knows, i dont want to get any hopes tho
@exl028 what do you mean by the first time? Did u apply ea and get the email then or did u apply rd and get the email in Jan?
@luckydoggy1234 I applied RD and i got an email about filling out the financial aid application and to send the tax forms, so i submitted the form and emailed these documents, but i received another email today about them not receiving it.
I applied RD and filled out the application/faxed forms in back in January. I didn’t get any email in February about sending anything in, but I just got one today.
I am thinking its a routine thing they do, but I do wonder how they can manage thousands of peoples’ paperwork, but I guess thats why they have a whole group of people to do it
I don’t think its routine. I did not get an email.
Oh, cuz I applied Es and was deferred it seems as if only rd applicants for that email
@PartyNextDoor maybe you submitted all your things??
