Princeton RD 2020 thread

I picked the “choose a quote” topic. Looks like most everyone did culture!

@Anonymoose3 I did quote too!

@TheWaffleMan149 - What was your quote? :slight_smile:

@reallylost @DaPueo I got one on the 7th too. I forgot about it, got an email on the 18th, and then sent my stuff in on the 21st.

@Anonymoose3 I used a quote from Self-Reliance. What about you?

Wait… I’m sure I faxed over my parents income and tax returns with the PFAA thing as a cover slip. so if I’ve already done that in february, they’d have no reason to ask for it again, right? :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

@Marcelleparcelle Correct.

I got a PFAA request but no tax doc request. I guess everyone will find out this Thursday if there’s any correlation between the emails and admissions decisions.

That’s so far awayyyyyyyyy

@Foodlover001 If you already sent your tax docs then you won’t get a request, but since you already turned everything in it doesn’t mean you won’t get accepted :slight_smile:

@FiveFactorial: I got a request to fill out the PFAA but didn’t submit any tax docs and I didn’t get a second email asking to submit tax docs. Thanks for the hope!!

Does anyone know why the PFAA asks for whether you are pursing law, medicine, or ministry?

@APersonsHistory : I think grad students have to fill out the PFAA so it may be for them.

For everyone here, does it say that you are enrolled for the 2016-17 school year at Princeton?

@Californian10 Yes it says that for everyone. It means that the aid that you applied for will be for the 2016-17 year

I’m supposing that if one’s tax documents are not submitted and they did not receive the email, it is a tell-tale sign of rejection?
Ahh well, expected, but the only stinging part is the application fee(s).

@Nedcone that is what I am thinking too

Anyone know if our alumni interviewers get our results earlier than us? I just got added on LinkedIn by my alumni interviewer, really doubt it’s anything but hoping for something lol.

Why would Princeton ask for tax forms so late with intention of rejection? Any current Princeton students who noticed a similar situation in your applicant year?

The FA office at the high applications 100% need met schools typically work independently of admissions since they literally do not have the bandwidth to truly coordinate. These processes happen in parallel. It may or may not mean anything at all
