@randomcollege20 Exactly how I feel lol
@PartyNextDoor I guess we’ll find out whether this is true or not in a few days
On no lie every thread I’ve ever been on there is something about emails about financial aid or even on the Vanderbilt one about how many digits there were in the link to see your decision and their correlation to your decision, financial aid and the admissions department are separate and schools wouldn’t give hints to what ones decision is in advance, otherwise it would make releasing the decision at a certain time pointless.
I fall into the temptation to believe that little differences reveal a yes or no, but I just feel like a school would be more careful than to let their decisions slip early, either way, best of luck to all
I find it hard to believe that Princeton would leave such a blatantly obvious sign, but why else would they email only some people about the same problem? :-<
I don’t think Princeton is purposely doing this to give people hints, it’s just a consequence of having to notify people so they can do their jobs.
@FiveFactorial I agree. The only alternative is to wait until decisions are out to request FA docs from those admitted, and that’s just unpleasant for everyone involved.
@Monster1997 - I’ll take whoever would have me! Throw in Yale and UPenn and I’ll be in heaven!
You guys should watch this video if you’re trying to kill some time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7r93LEFjpCA It’s an extremely well-made fictional video about high school seniors and college admissions
I’m an international student that sent in everything (including parents tax and income etc etc) as well as IDOC, CSS, PFAA, and that ISFAA thingy all on time via email or fax. now I’m freaking out over not getting any emails regarding anything from any of the ivies i applied to. kinda makes me wish i was more tardy so that id have some kind of closure at least -_-
@Marcelleparcelle We only have evidence for getting emails correlating with being accepted/waitlisted with Princeton. The other Ivy League schools use IDOC to collect tax forms while Princeton asks for them directly, so the other schools don’t send emails to you. And since you already sent everything in you don’t need to worry. Princeton only sends emails to people who are missing documents.
I guess we’ll find out the significance of the emails on Thursday. Good luck everyone!
i got the email but i did sent all my stuff in so im not sure
Lol I got rejected
So this is random but basically I’m part of a dual enrollment program at a local university but I’m still part of my local high school. When I first applied, I put that I attended my local high school with no mention of the dual enrollment program besides the courses I took. However, Princeton manually changed my school to reflect the dual enrollment program and the branch that I was in (the dual enrollment program itself is branched in 2 different local universities in my city). Then in the past two weeks, Princeton once again changed my school name to simply include the name of the dual enrollment program in general (as in the two schools were integrated). Four people from my branch applied to Princeton and the same reflection was made on their portals. Has anyone had a similar experience or can they make anything out of this? We’re all weirded out by it!
@xWadee where did you see that they changed this? I thought most portals that had everything submitted reverted to “your Princeton application is complete” with nothing else to view.
Under the area where it says “secondary school”
@anon9362 Do you feel like you will be rejected? Because if you do, my friend, don’t give up just yet. Hope is a powerful thing.
If you are officially rejected, then I’m sorry.
What did everyone put for their favorite source of inspiration and favorite recording?
