Hey so I stumbled across Amazon.com: Illustrated Word Smart: A Visual Vocabulary Builder (Smart Guides) (9780375751899): Tom Meltzer: Books....

It's supposed to be a visual vocabulary book which has 250 of the "most popular" SAT words and supposed to have "great" mnemonic devices to help keep the word in your head...

So I was wondering if anyone ever studied off this book and well....was it helpful and accurate to the real SAT SC's?

I wouldn’t rely on it. I use Direct Hits SAT Vocabulary.

Oh I bought one before because they sold it at a garage sale for one dollar…but I don’t recommend it. I know mnemonic devices are supposed to help you remember words but most of them are over-done (?) so the pictures don’t really help. The words themselves are good, but if you have other vocab books like Direct Hits or the regular Word Smart, just stick with them, they’re a lot better.

Yea ima go buy direct hits, thanks
