@woolfie @Hellokitty13 I interpreted that as any interruptions during high school. I knew a few people that had to take parts of the semester off and had be briefly homeschooled or were in a similar situation, and mentioned having to write about it, and consequently I implied that since I took a gap year after I had graduated, that essay didn’t apply to me. Nonetheless If do stand corrected, I’m glad that I managed to squeeze in that information at least somewhere in my application.
@afh137 @Hellokitty13 The question said: ‘Please indicate if any of these options will have affected your progression through or since secondary school. Check all that apply.’ and then ‘Please use the space below to provide details about the change in progression through secondary school that you indicated above’.
I thought the ‘since’ meant that writing about a gap year that I have taken ‘since’ graduation is allowed. And I read this in some other threads as well. I may be wrong though obviously. In that case I hope the admissions office won’t hate me for it.
@woolfie wow didn’t even notice that. Lol I should have put it there. But I guess these minor formalities don’t sway the application in any way, I don’t think they’ll mind me putting it in the additional info section, they might be a bit confused though, since my additional info was like ~450 words, well over the allocated 250 in the appropriate section. But its too late to change anything, if we’re meant to be accepted, then I don’t think that would change much, and if were meant to be rejected, I don’t think this formality on our behalf would matter much.
24 hours y’all, 24 hours.
That’s so crazy. It’s going to be the slowest 24 hours ever
As the time is coming closer and closer, I feel like I don’t want to see the result anymore. #Fear
Decisions come in at 3, but I won’t get home until 9 because of ECs. I’m not sure if I should open it once I get home or just check as soon as it comes. I don’t want the results, good or bad, to get in the way of my day, but waiting to check it is a distraction in and of itself.
I’m going to be at the dentist’s office when decisions come out, so at least I’ll have an excuse for my tears lol
When they say decisions will be released after 3pm EST, does that mean AT exactly 3PM or ANYTIME after 3PM?
@nad501 I’m assuming they mean at 3, but I don’t think one minute will make much of a difference.
OMG. My friend’s portal says hes on the waitlist! My portal has nothing do you guys think that they may have started early? is this a mistake or have they done this in the past? PLEASE let me know if anyones portal as an update yet
As our big day arrives, I just wanted to thank everyone in this community (even though I have pretty much been a lurker until recently XD) for providing an outlet for my exponentially intensifying anxiety. Some of us may strike it rich tomorrow at 3 pm while many of us will not, but regardless of what happens, we are still the same people with the same ambition to achieve whatever we have set our eyes on. Princeton does not have the power to dictate how we perceive our own worth. Not even close. We have all worked tirelessly to reach this point, and we should all be proud of what we have accomplished and what we will accomplish. Here’s to good fortune for us all tomorrow, but never forget that who you are will ALWAYS be more important than where you are.
what link did your friend use? @NJDude23
@NJDude23 do they even waitlist people in the EA round??? do you mean deferred?
yeah the defered im sorry im so anxious! yeah i am with him and the link he got syas he is deffered. i even think he was a better candidate than me. oh no
Do you mean deferred? Waitlisted wouldn’t make sense at this point in time.
Edit: never mind, just saw the above post
Hey guys, here from the Harvard SCEA 2022 thread to wish you all luck tomorrow!! Just know that being qualified enough to apply to Princeton is an awesome achievement, and a lot of people are very proud of you and your hard work!
@NJDude23 pictures? (you can upload them to imgur and link them here)
@Amduseus Do you(or a friend) not have a phone that can access email?
What ended up happening with the deferred thing from earlier?
