Hi, I am a little confused by the posts above. Does Princeton interview all ED applicants or at least a majority of them?if we get no interview call then does that reduce your chances? Would it be wise to contact the admissions office and seek an interview ?
If you haven’t gotten the call, that means either the interviewer is very busy and delaying the call until the deadline. If you don’t get the call at all (give it another week), that means there’s no available interviewer in your area. It doesn’t have any impact on your chances, however. The admissions folks don’t sit around to sort out who deserves the interview and who doesn’t.
guys how did subject tests go?
I was just contacted by my interviewer yesterday. It was getting so late that I had just assumed I wasn’t getting one.
Daughter goes for hers on Monday evening
@IlluminatiIsReal that is incorrect. Based on the class of 2021’s profile, the 25th percentile for the new SAT math section is 700 and the 25th percentile reading and writing section is a 680. So based on that, the 25th percentile overall new SAT score is a 1380. Didn’t want you freaking everyone out haha
@pufingrad
But keep in mind that students who got a 680 in reading most likely did not also get a 700 in math and vice versa, you cannot combine the two section scores to receive the overall percentile scores.
No, my daughter only applied early to Princeton. She applied RD to Harvard but there is no thread yet for RD for Harvard. Sorry for any confusion.
My Daughter received notification for alumni interview couple of weeks back, but has not been contacted by the interviewer yet. Should we be worried?
@starship - Didn’t the notification include the contact information for the interviewer?
@pufingrad collegeconfidential won’t let me put the link of the website where I saw it. Just type princeton sat scores prepscholar on google and you will find it.
Go to the Princeton SAT Score Analysis (New 1600 SAT) section
The 25th percentile is actually 1470 and the 75th percentile is 1590.
And I think prep scholar is a pretty good source.
There is a brief discussion about it on the prior page. Im in the same situation, but have only been waiting for about a week and a half. Personally, if I dont see anything by next week, then I will consider calling the Admissions office.
@jprtaco The notification does have the email information but it also says that the interviewer will contact you.
@18YearsASlav Based on the previous discussion, I am thinking waiting too. Do keep us updated if things change at your end on this matter.
Quick question- does Princeton see the first quarter grades of its SCEA applicants? I actually did great this marking period and think it would help me if they saw, if only a little bit.
@Amduseus
Pretty sure they only ask for semester grades. But you can attach anything you want, I suppose.
I finally received an email from Princeton saying that I should be contacted by my interviewer soon!
My interviewer asked what other schools I am applying to… yikes.
@HelloThereHola Mine did too. Is this a problem? I told him that Princeton was my first choice and I would go if I got accepted after thinking about financial aid. I don’t think it’s that big of a deal, right?
I don’t think the interview matters a lot, in terms of admissions. Did anyone apply for financial aid to Princeton?
I think almost everyone applies for financial aid.
