This gets asked a million times, I know, but is there a need for a printer staying in Mark Twain? I know they have a printer in the basement and you get $35 or non-refundable printing budget through the university every semester, but I'm staying on the top floor of Twain, so it'd be a hassle to walk down every time I print something, plus if I print something of value like a movie ticket or boarding pass there's the possibility it could get stolen.

Is there anyone who stayed in Twain that can give advice on this?

I only knew one person with a printer. Most people don’t bring one, and most people don’t run over the allowance.

You won’t be printing stuff out all that much. A lot of times you will be in the computer lab working on stuff, and just print it out there.

If you’re worried about stuff like movie tickets, just go down to the computer lab, and print it out in there, and retrieve it right away. Going down to the computer lab really isn’t much of a hassle.

I’m moving back to Twain this fall There’s a computer lab in the basement. Here’s a fun little link: [Division of IT: Print Anywhere](http://doit.missouri.edu/printing/print-anywhere.html) From there, you can download the Mark Twain printer (or really any on campus printer) onto your computer. So you can type your paper from the comfort of your room, print it from your room, then just go get it downstairs.

Personally, I use a printer just to avoid any hassle. Although you have to pay for paper and ink if you go that route.

Be warned,
I lived in Mark Twain this past year and the printer downstairs breaks down unexpectedly at times. I had my own printer and everything was fine.
