Printer

Should I bring a printer along with my laptop, or should I wait out this week?? Also, is there a computer lab in Jester West open the whole night, where I can print things if necessary?

I was also wondering this same thing. What is the closest computer lab to Jester East? Is it the one downstairs in Jester West? Also, when does the one in jester west close? Is having your own printer really useful or is it more of a hassle to fit it on the desk because the desks are kind of small and it might be hard to fit a laptop and a small laser printer.

I was debating whether I would need a printer (I’m an engineering major). but I brought one in the end because although I might not need to print much, I tend to scan papers often. as with space, I stuck my printer in one of the shelves underneath the bed and I take it out whenever I need it so it won’t take up any room.

the computer lab in Jester West (not sure where exactly) is the closest since East doesn’t have one. Computer labs are located in Kinsolving, Carothers, Simkins, San Jacinto and Jester West. The computer labs are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (with the exceptions of some holidays).

For those of us who don’t have printers, how do you pay with Bevo Bucks for printing from 2nd floor PCL or the residence hall computer labs? Does it charge your Bevo Bucks account automatically, or is there something you need to do to make sure you pay for the printed stuff?

I haven’t looked but I’m assuming the printers have a place where you swipe your card.

In my opinion, life will be easier if one of the roommates in each dorm room has a printer.

Bring your own.

It is a HUGE hassle to have to walk somewhere to print. And it would be even better if each roommate had one but if you can figure out how to share without fighting then that works too.
