As you all know, all the priority waitlist students got the e-mail. right? In the letter they mentioned a most up-to-date financial aid package can be found on the where am i in the process page. Did anyone's package change from their initial offering? If so, by how much?

bump.
Got my financial aid mail today. Did anyone of you get it as well?

@agg999 I didn’t get one and i live in Pittsburgh. Where are you?

MD. Are you sure?

@NigerianPrince Well, here is the thing: I got one early April. THen, they added a “Carnegie Mellon Scholarship” worth $8000 or so. I assume that is the reason they sent an updated one. Did they revise your aid at all? (go ahead and check on the where am i in the process) If not, it makes sense I guess. Otherwise, something is fishy.

BTW, do you know how CMU gives out these scholarships? Is this an indication or what?

Wow I just realized I completely misread your post, I sincerely apologize. My Financial Aid thing still says it’s not complete which really makes sense considering I’d go for free. My parents teach at CMU so I have free tuition there. My bad, I thought you were talking about something else. Honestly praying i get in though, I put so much effort into that optional essay.

By chance do you or your parents know how Carnegie Mellon gives out the Carnegie Mellon Institutional Scholarship?

Don’t know and my parents don’t either. Sorry :(

Is anyone anxious about tomorrow? I’m so nervous I can barely concentrate on my studies!

@NigerianPrince random, but I’m planning on taking your dad’s course next year! haha

@Selena731 that’s great! Which one? I’ll be sure to let him know. I’ll come say hi too haha

I think the portal updated because under “College Choices” under decision mine changed from Wait List to Not Admitted

Ya. same here. I really hope that is the default. But most probably not.

I’m just assuming it’s a no. I don’t want to get any other hopes up.

Me too. I’m so upset.

My letter was posted. It’s a no.

My decision online changed from waitlist to not admitted, no surprise, but I can’t access my decision letter for some reason. If I click on view the letter I get a blank page, and it says my financial aid info is not available yet even though it was up before. Is the server just busy?

@NigerianPrince
the integrated embedded one thought I’m waiting on another course, so if I get into that one, I’ll take it.

@everyone
I’m sorry to hear the results But honestly, from how passionate you all seemed to be about your intended majors, I’m sure you’ll do great at your colleges. The school really doesn’t matter if you’re always pushing your boundaries to do what you want. Some schools forcefully make you push your boundaries , others lay back and leave it up to you. Feel free to contact me at any time if you need help or suggestions with anything (if it’s allowed by the university/professors, I can give you problem sets and material from here!)
Best of luck, this is not the end of everything ;)
