My daughter logged in to her acct last night and found that her transcripts, SAT's and recommendation for U of R were missing. I called admissions this morning and apparently she had 2 accts? They consolidated them and now her application will go to the first reader. Is that a problem that she is just getting a first read on 2/14/11? Will she still be considered for scholarships as well? McConklin if you could add any information/insight it would be greatly appreciated. I'm hoping one little computer glitch doesn't determine her fate.

Hi, krmom8… I certainly understand your concerns, but I can assure you that this will have no bearing on her decision. Unfortunately it is somewhat common that multiple accounts are created for a single student. There are multiple reasons why this occurs, the most common being that students fill out forms with two separate names, usually their full name and nickname (i.e. Robert and Bob). Your daughter will still be given full consideration for admission and scholarship, and trust that she is not alone in waiting for a first read. I still have close to 70 applications that I have not had a chance to read, and many of my colleagues are in the same position - your daughter will simply join those that are still waiting on a first read.

I hope that this helps, and I am sorry for the inconvenience. Good luck, and as always, please let me know if you have any additional questions.

McConklin - thank you, you are an absolute lifesaver! You are so considerate and prompt at answering these. I understand why my daughter loves this school and if she does to University of Rochester I know she is in good hands. Everyone we have spoken to at the school is a gem.

Thank you for taking the time out and good luck with your readings!

Thanks, krmom8 - Reading your post made my morning! Best of luck to you and your daughter.
