Problems on my application.... :\

Hey guys, I submitted my application (common app) on December 31st but I realize I have a few problems with it and I'm not sure what to do. First of all I submitted my common app earlier than my supplement (back in Nov.) and I had a horribly written essay (it was more like a political rant than a college essay). The day before my app was due, I wrote a "stellar" essay about my rubik's cube talents and I was able to tie it in with life's lessons, etc... I included the essay on the "Additional Information" on the Hopkins supplement and put a little message asking them to overlook my original essay. Do you think they will care? Also, I have a wide variety of talents and interests: orchestra, theatre, musical theatre, computer science, rubik's cube. On my application however, I was only able to write about my cube, interest in sciences, and my $10 essay was in a form of a narrative. If I simply list those activities on my activities section will it be enough? Or should I send them additional essays about theatre (since I devote most of my time to it), if possible? I'm really worried about admission into Hopkins since I have a mediocre GPA (4.0 W, but with my share of B's and even 2 C's >_<) and only a 1400 composite SAT. My intangibles are pretty good (essays, talents, personal qualities). I'm pretty much relying on JHU's reputation of taking intangible aspects of applicants into great consideration. I would really appreciate any help. Thanks.

I think you should be ok... when the rep came to my school, she gave advice on writing the essay. She knew that I had already turned everything in, and she said that it was perfectly fine to change it if I needed to. I didn't end up changing anything, but if I had wanted to it wouldn't have been a big deal.
Good luck!

That's awesome...hopefully I can improve my 3 essay even further or write a new one and submit them.
