The title says it all, I have a problem with my Writing score. I got a 12 on the essay and a 63 on the multiple choice. I'm planning a retake just for the multiple choice. Would it look bad to colleges if a got less than a 12 for my writing the second time around?

Yes, it would, so don't blow it off.

The above post is ridiculous. I got an 11 my first time, a 10, and then an 11. Funny thing is that I got that 10 when I got an 800, and my writing dropped 10 points on the third try (bid deal). Colleges will only really care for your overall writing score, and a great deal of them will superscore anyway. Just work on getting your overall writing score up. If the essay goes down a little but your MC goes up drastically, you'll probably have a higher score than the first try. Good luck.

I don't think colleges will care, provided you don't get a score of 4 or something.

Keep it 10 or above and you should be fine.
