haha ok. i was like do what? i thought you were implying that i was someone who cared too much about what a guy thought. haha that's never really been my style so i'm def not gonna start caring when it comes to my senior prom dress :P

MY point in posting my dresses online is b/c I have waaay too many dresses I like and need to narrow it down a bit...lol, believe me, I've only posted a few that I like so far...I've spared you all a lot of irritation by not posting up EVERY dress I like...

I still don't know which one to pick: poofy-ish raspberry dress or yellow shorter dress---and btw I'm ony 5'1" so my height might not be the best for the long poofy one---how in the heck do you hem something like that?!...lol

haha i don't think the poofiness with be as big of an issue as you think. i'm only 5'2" and i tried on that had a similar style bottom and it really doesn't make you look a lot shorter. although there are some dresses that make you look like a barbie cake, i honestly don't think that style does. haha and you just have to hem it one layer at a time.

barbie cake, exhibit A: TJ Formal - Mori Lee 2009 Prom Dress 8155 =bad for short people.

No, I didn't mean you at all, Jackie! I was trying to say "haha yeah I agree why is he saying this cause I doubt any of us care if a guy would like the dress or not"

But yeah, I really like that yellow dress but the puffy one could work too; both are cute! I don't think height matters so long as you aren't tripping over it! :)

millancad, i think i tried on that dress, but in saffron, its fun.

all of the dresses around me are so boring... ill probably get a 50s prom dress, something light and romantic, or a big ol' ball gown. or i might get spitcurls and dress like a flapper...

things that are nice but not realistic:

Gorgeous Emma Domb Pleated Red Chiffon 1950's Halter Dress VINTAGEOUS VINTAGE CLOTHING

I am in love with the last link. Omg sooo prettyyyy :).

That last red one would make you the best dressed girl at prom. 100%

it's so pretty. too bad it doesn't reach the floor lol

What time do you guys start shopping for prom dresses? Mine is in late May and I waited soo last minute last year (1 week before). I want to start earlier this year but I feel like it's way to early.

haha, and too bad im no longer a 24 waist and 31 bust...

im always on the look out...but mine is in late april? ill probs start actively shopping now?

Emp, your dress is gorgeous! I know I'm going to get mine from a designer named Jessica McClintock, but I haven't decided which one yet.

Yeah i'm going to start going to shops and legit look like, mid-march I suppose. Our prom is April 18

haha it's so...weird i guess? seeing all the different styles people are into in different areas. don't get me wrong, i have yet to see a dress that i really don't like at all, but tbh most of them are def not the style people get around here lol. it's definitely interesting seeing so many different dresses.

hopefully this won't be the case for you guys, but just keep in mind that even if you look like absolute crap for prom because you didn't get a nice dress and/or your hair/makeup sucked and/or you just don't have the figure to pull off a prom dress ....you can still have fun at prom and life goes on =P

OH MY GOD SPRUCE
THE SECOND TO LAST LINK

i want that dress.
so badly.
$%^&*
now. I need it.

Emp - Mid-March to start looking for dresses? You'll have way less selection.. Our prom is in May and like, half the girls have their dresses or have been looking for them already. I dunno, but I wouldn't just start shopping in mid-March.. Seems like it could very possibly be a very bad situation.

Hmm, I see what you are saying. it's just that my parents are such last minute ppl that they won't be willing to look into it until closer in but i will bring that up lol

plus if you have to have it ordered or anything it's going to be cuttin it pretty close to when you actually need it. haha i would def talk to the parents about going earlier.

ahh i dont know what to do! my mom bought me a really cute short dress which is perfect for my size and height (i'm 5'1 and thin) but i kind of want a long dress, it's my senior prom :/ but i had a long, classic looking dress last year. idk what to do but keep posting your dresses, it's fun to look at!

I know it's Paris Hilton, but I looove this dress she wore:

It reminds me of a modern Belle from "Beauty and the Beast"-my fav!
