Rejected by person I asked to the prom...

oh man that sucks. seriously but you really dont have to take anyone. you can simply go with a big group of friends and have the time of your life. cheer up. if you dont wanna go by yourself you can ask another girl...pretty sure a bunch of them dont have dates (even ones that go to other schools would be willing to go with you)

Me too! There's really not anyone else I'd like to ask, so I don't think I'm going.

Not going? Why not? I'm sure prom will be a great time

go with a group of friends, or just ask someone else.

.....................................

I don't plan on having a date to the prom, but I'm still going with friends. You should too.

sorry to hear that. and yea, go with your friends. ignore the rejection and go have a blast... you only have 2 chances to go to prom.

Awh, that sucks. But I agree with everyone else. STILL GO!

Plus you'll look like an idiot if the girl you asked realizes you just didn't go.

I plan on just going with friends too, it's nothing to be ashamed of. Plus, then you aren't tied to one person all night!

the college radio station i listen to (Penn's WXPN), a guy called in to ask the dj to help broadcast that he wished to take a certain girl to prom the dj said "okay "linda" rob wants to take you to prom. please say yes he sounds like a cool kid"

...the girl never called....

my school is lame. tickets are sold in couples and NO one goes in groups. it makes me so mad...

are u a guy or a girl?

I'm a guy, and yea I probally will still go and mabye ask someone else before it, just felt a bit down about being rejected.

Rejection stings, but the sea has lots of fish. If it's vital to go as a couple, ask one of your good friends?

Yes ask a friend or even someone you vaguely know who also needs a date. Maybe you will make a new friend!

Last year I was dumped by my date a WEEK before prom (we were just friends, but he got back together with his ex and decided it was okay to take HER). I was so upset, but luckily one of my friends shared her date with me! lol so if worst comes to worst just tag along with your friends! I had a great time.

ill go with u!!! jk

Good. I hope you saved yourself a ****load of money. Now use that cash to buy a PS3 and pre-order MGS4.

Going to prom as a group is a lot more fun, I think. I know both me and my date would prefer to go in a big group and just have fun looking ridiculous on the dance floor.

Aww that sucks. But i second the idea of either asking another girl or just going with a group. You have nothing to lose except your ego.

On a related note, I was just curious what would you choose if you could either: 1) go with a date who's unwilling to dance, too shy, and is awkward, or 2) go without a date and just with a few friends who are also too shy to go crazy and dance the night away?

Going to prom with friends basically makes it a ridiculously expensive school dance, or at least that's what it seems like to me. Few go alone or in a group at my school.
