Prom too expensive?

Protest!!!!

It's 80 dollars at my school.

its 150 dollars per person at my school plus you gota pay about 200 bux for renting a tux and then there is another 200 for the limo to rent then 50 bux each ticket for the after prom party club so if the guy is paying it costs about 800 bux or so which is awefully expensive. NYC is an expensive city.

at my school it's 150, for the ticket but umm the guy pays for it soo.. The only really money issuse girls have to worry about are dreses!!!

I don't even know who paid for my limo ride.

I had to pay 80 dollars for my prom ticket. My dress cost 20 dollars, my jewelry cost 60 (lifetime investment!), and my shoes were ones I already owned. I refuse to stick the ticket cost to my date--we're only high schoolers after all.

whoa where'd you find a prom dress for $20? i had to get two and they were around $200-250 each and i thought htat was good!

i cant even remember how much tickets were for prom... i think like $150?

150 is crazy insane!!! i skipped junior prom so i could spend twice as much at senior prom. and i'm going to get a designer dress for 15 bucks, it is possible

unwritten02--why did you have to get two dresses?

one for my prom and one for another school's prom

Well around here everyone can afford a $90 ticket without financial difficulty. Lots of people go all out. A few of my friends rented a stretch hummer for prom, and everyone buys designer dresses for a few hundred dollars.

I refuse to pay for my date's ticket. If she seriously tries to pressure me into it, I would take somebody else. No joke.

our prom tickets are like $45 single , & $100 for 2 ppl

hm. theoneo- if your date was your gf, would you pay for her ticket (without her asking you to)?

A limo ride to school!!!! Do you have any idea how much that could cost?? Limos are rare around here and it could cost triple what the prom costs. As much as I hate to have to admit this, I'll be going in a cab :(
And if I actually have a date for that night, which I predict I probably won't, her parents would drop her off at school for us to meet there.

^ That seriously sucks.

If you can get a bunch of freiends together to go in the limo then you can all split the cost and it will be a bit cheaper :) .

Maybe they don't usually use limos for their proms?

Proms differ from country to country, I'd imagine.

Are you kidding me? Still go. Everybody would still most likely go because it's the PROM.

Ours is $25/2 ppl, $15 for one.

But we have crappy proms.

I read pr0n...and was quite concerned for a moment...

lol.

um..they might be up to the whole share a limo thing..but I doubt it.
the prom won't be that great or anything..first the graduation cerimony, then the parents will take a hike and we move to the gym where a band (usually something famous) will start singing and we'll mingle. That's it. Maybe a cab won't be suck a bad idea..as long as i get there in one piece lol
