and if three people asked you to go to prom with them, you can't be tooo antisocial..?

They think my "distance" is cute. In my school I'm seen as the kid from Garden State who really can't get attached to anyone. It's fun until you realize they're right.

oh, i think that "distance" is hot. i mean, i would love to be the girl that changes the guy. i think a lot of girls entertain the idea of being a guy's saving grace.

yep that's definitely their mentality.

Would you really rather go out with a guy who needs saving? Personally, I find girls who have it all put together a lot more interesting than girls who are falling apart. But what do I know? A lot of guys are attracted to the damsel in distress.

Diezel, why don't you make one of these girls really happy. i mean, for her to think that she even changed you a little will make her really happy.

mysterious = hot, generally. but someone with serious issues isn't.

and you never know, prom could be fun..you're only in high school once..my mom still regrets not going to prom so she's living vicariously through me lol

Hotpiece judging from your previous posts and on this thread I believ you have a thing for romance.
Are you one of those hpeless romantics or am I just dead wrong just like in everything else in my life

whats the point of going to a dance if you cant drink? (we are being breathilized at the entrance) plus its a COMPLETE rip off, and 3rd all the hot and non-b.itchy chicks are taken.

lol i don't have "serious issues." At least nothing that a couple shots of liquor can't fix. ;)

They're all pretty superficial if it makes you feel any better.

well, if you have no serious issues that can't be remedied with alcohol, why do you need fixing? :)

yeah maybe i'll just go. One of the girls promised me a "wild" afterparty haha.

yeah, just go and have a good time. it's not like you have to get married.

plus, if they're anything like me, they just want someone to take prom pictures with anyway lol

Then go to the wild afterparty and have the real fun there if you so desire. Even if such does not happen, you should just go because it exists and is something to use up a Friday or Saturday night.

i guess you could say that I am a hopeless romantic...

First time in my life I was semi accurate about anything. Maybe there's hope for me

My school is small so the senior class is of 13 people. Its a dinner for the seniors and their parents then it becomes a prom dance thing where people outside our class also come... Its a formal event; girls have been planning their dresses since the begining of the year. I don't want to go; dinner with 12 other people and their parents is my idea of a very long and awkward time. My mom is making me go though because every parent had to pay $700 for this wonderful experience...

My prom is in three weeks and I just bought my dress two days ago. I don't have a date, but I'm going out for coffee with the guy I like Friday... I'm hoping he'll ask me. :o Prom at my school isn't a huge elaborate affair. It's even held at school because the main high school building used to be a residential mansion and it's really nice (chandelier, sweeping staircase, marble floor in the entrance hall, hardwood in the rooms around it, and so on). We only have 75 seniors and 50 juniors, though, so it's definitely on the small side.

shudders

Mine was on the 6th...just 2 days ago...

I'm not a big fan of school events...but it is your SENIOR PROM! (for me it was)

It's overhyped...but its still enjoyable. Plus, you might regret not going later on...so...man up and go.

Post-prom activities are always good too ;)

Yea thats the only reason i'm going. Better to regret doing something than regret NOT doing something. In the words of John C. Calhoun: "in looking back I see little to correct and nothing to regret".
