WHO ARE U GOING/WANNA GO WITH??

I don't think I'm going.. -gets shot-
I HATE DANCES. I'VE HATED DANCES EVER SINCE 8TH GRADE WHEN I HUMPED SOMEONE BECAUSE I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO.

Not a chance! I've never been to a school dance, not my cup of tea at all. And I even get in for free to all the dances/games for being ranked in the top 20 kids in my class. I hate dancing, no point in dressing up and standing around looking like a loser doing nothing. But I will go to prom, it's part of the senior experience.

I have someone in mind but that'll never happen so.....

^cough cough major loser lol

asian nerd?

afitscher, hah I am! But hey, aren't we all on CC?

But really, my mentality is that I'm never going to see the kids from my HS again after graduation, so who cares what I do now. I'm going on to bigger and better things. And I may possibly think I am too good for that kind of stuff ;)

Elitist much. Common carpe diem my friend. Who cares if u nvr see anyone again have fun in the moment your only in high school once, enjoy it you social leper you ;)

Lol, I hang out with friends outside of school, but I don't get attached. I just really don't see the whole point of dances. I mean you could just hang out with friends at home and put on some music. No need to spend all that money to spend your night in a hot, crowded, muggy, gymnasium reeking of body odor!

HELL YEA IM GOING!!! with my gf, and a group of like 30 people

I don't know that most schools hold their proms in gyms. My school doesn't (not that I'm going).

Oh, hah no. Prom is held in a hotel ballroom, but I'm just talking about dances in general. Like Homecoming is held in the gym. And in the gross gym in the freshman end of the school at that. Earlier I said I had never been to a school dance but I will go to prom.

So you're not going to prom then?

I keeping believing in the common misconception that CC kids have no lives or are not real people. Lol

It's a misconception?

YES I'VE THOUGHT ABOUT IT. I'm deathly afraid I won't get asked. Ideally, I'd like to go with my ex-boyfriend but we don't talk, so that might pose a problem. =] So I'm really hoping some random guy I know will ask me...

The $80 is totally not worth it. Maybe next year...

I'm not sure about this year but I will definitely go next year.

sad how delusional you

My prom is being held in this awesome, palatial hotel with fabulous food and my school has a dress code: ONLY dresses and no jeans and t-shirts.

Fabulous. I'm NOT going.

lol what is up with everyone on this forum?

I love prom. I've gone all three years in the past and I'm definitely going to my senior one, too. And downtown for gelato afterwards, and a huge formal dinner beforehand. And an afterparty.

Work hard if you must, kids, but there is nothing like the social scene in high school. Live a little.

This thread is bringing out the pure win in some people, pure fail in others.

Honestly...most of my friends didn't go to prom and neither did I. It's really nothing more than a dance party, at least around here. Think about it like this: if you don't care for anyone in the grade except for your friends, then you should only care if yo homeslices be flossin they ass with cash in order to go to a 3 hour fail sesh. My brothas didn't stay up on that ish and neither did I.

That's the word.
