<p>Of course prom is this insipid, banal excuse of an event. But no ones goes to prom for prom. We go to prom for what happens after prom.</p>
<p>I never understood prom, we see those same people everyday in school. I’m still going though lol</p>
<p>I don’t think I am. I don’t really connect with any people in my high school - some are just boring, some are interesting but not at all nice (not so much to me, but to others - it kinda bothers me) and the remaining few I just don’t click with.</p>
<p>So yeah, I don’t think I have any reason to go…</p>

<p>Friends always want me to go so if they are persuasive… maybe, but I really do think it sounds lame.</p>
<p>I was thinking about not going, but I guess I will. It’s an excuse to get a pretty dress.</p>
<p>My friends will probably invite me to their prom, but I think that I might just ask one of my other friends to go to the movies with me instead.</p>

<p>not going this year. i went as a sophomore and as a junior. i’m not really interested in going again… the whole process is a tad overblown and unnecessarily stressful.</p>
<p>I am required to go, so I must. Unless there is a conflict with a religious holiday like last year. My friends are the people responsible for planning prom this year, so I hope that they do a good job lol</p>
<p>I’ll go to mine. As dumb as it sounds, I feel like prom is one of the definitive things about high school and I;d hate to miss it.</p>

<p>Hey, I was the prom director my junior year. It takes SO much planning to put on an amazing prom. You should appreciate it.</p>

<p>I do appreciate the work it takes to plan a prom, but I do not really see the value inherent in actually having one. We can agree to disagree on this. :)</p>
