Prospective Nursing Major

I have applied to University of Rochester, Northeastern University, University of Binghamton, Stony Brook University, Quinnipiac University, Pace University, University of Scranton, University of Connecticut and Molloy college. Applying to Boston College and NYU too.
My top choices are Northeastern, University of Rochester, and Boston College. I really love everything University of Rochester has to offer though. These schools will probably be reaches for me with a 2050 sat score and 104.96 weighted gpa. I hope to go to a school offering plenty of clinicals and a school which will challenge me. Any insight on these schools nursing programs?

do you know if any/all of these are direct admit programs?

@mikemac Check each schools website for the answer.

Just make sure you have safeties you won’t feel badly about attending.

One of my wife’s friends went to Columbia, Penn, and Binghamton, and says Binghamton was the best of the three for nursing schools. It all comes down to the professors you will be working with, not so much the name of the school. There is a nursing forum where you may be able to get specific answers about each school.

@becca10421 Have you considered the University of Pittsburgh? They have approximately 1300 clinical hours. Admissions are rolling and the application is streamlined and straightforward. The average SAT (M+CR) for the nursing program is 1321.

I believe Univ of Rochester only has a MSN program, not a BSN so you should check. The program they have that is a BS/MS if for nurses who already have their AA degree

If I understand it correctly, U. Rochester has a 4.5 year nursing program for entering freshmen.

Good to know  thanks @Charliesch
