Provisional Admission

I was admitted into UCR for the fall of 2015, but I tend to worry about everything all at once. Currently, I am a senior in High school but I am taking 4 college courses for the spring semester. I am worried about my provisional admission. I know it states to complete course work with c’s but what if I get all B’s and they don’t think that’s good enough? or 3 b’s and 1 C. My major is creative writing.

@ggomez123 hey there! some background info…i’m a high school senior as well and i know the straight facts, but i would like to give you some advice. I honestly, from the bottom of my heart believe that you shouldn’t worry about what your grades will end up be. Just try your best! No matter what, everything will work out for the best. So long as you try your best to maintain C or better, i’m sure UCR will let you in. If it makes you feel any better, I’m waitlisted to UCR still as an English major. UCR is the only school left for me and it’s either that or I go to a community college. Not saying anything bad about a CC, but I, like everyone else, would definitely rather going to a 4 year and go through that whole college experience. So you’re not in a bad spot and I honestly believe that you will be fine! Don’t stress bro. Good luck to you! and who knows, maybe one day we’ll meet up at UCR!

Thank You so much @IREALLYWANTUCR ! Graduation is coming up soon and I’m worrying about little things going wrong here and there and my application getting rescinded. I’m not a bro by the way, haha. Also, do you happen to know how strict UCR is about updating your info that is on the UC app. For example, I’m taking two different classes (very similar- italian to french, philosophy to psychology) than what I put on the app and an extra class. When I asked my AVID teacher she said I didn’t have to worry about it or email them because I am already done with all me A-G requirement. But again, it’s almost graduation and I’m just worried about so many little things going wrong that I just started thinking about it and worrying about it. :-S

No D’s or F’s. No worries.
