why is it impartial?

Also, the author said “Very human and very understandable.” He was not biased against humans. It may be sympathatic though now that I think about it. But I’m impartial also fits properly.

Umm, I think the question asked for the author’s attitude of his/her statement, “Very human and very understandable.” That’s definitely sympathetic; see post #231 (mine).

Me too.

Did anyone notice the “Not so: as” answer choice (A) in the chimp vending machine part? I mean it was clearly wrong but it just looks like a mistake.

Oh, just remembered another question! Was the New York court example supposed to show efforts to combat the problem, or to underscore the problem?

do u guys remeber how the math grids went. i am talking about how they appeared on scantron.

was it… 29. 30. 31. 32.

or were the grid quetiosn vertical

31.

32.

Here is how I thought it went:
CR- much more difficult than I expected
Math- easy overall, might have made one or two stupid mistakes
Writing- more difficult than I expected, but I still think I did reasonably well.

I don’t think I skipped any questions at all.

Hi everyone please discuss your answers in the correct subthreads to avoid cluttering…

it was like questioning the integrity of the courts

Why did the authors of the mind passages use “special”? What about passage 2 using “showed” like 5 times…?

one of the answers was affront

It was supposed to show how they minimize the ramifications of the problem or something like that. I think it was A.

@altamash: they were horizontal…

i think the very undertandable one was , sarcastic. did u notice how he put it as a different , really short sentence. it wsound like a condescending tone, like very understandable…very human.

Thanks, FunStuff! I vacillated between A and E, but eventually did go with A. :)

Horizontal.

There’s already so much discussion in this thread; I don’t think it’s gonna stop.

I think that it showed efforts to combat the problem; 2 very good law agencies (or whatever they’re called) trying to stop the “total war” like kind of lawyering.

I agree with FunStuff

I think condescending would be more like, “Dumba** humans, they’re so stupid.” Or, “Of course, since they’re humans, this is expected.”

but people questioned their motives

“I chose “appealing but problematic.” While the idea is reassuring, one author bashes the idea (Passage 2, I think). Both authors agree that the idea (of mind being amazing) is appealing (people like feeling special) and that it’s problematic (because it’s probably wrong).”

^Seconded.

I put sarcastic…

I also put appealing but problematic.
