for (x+7)^(1/2)-5, would x=57 have worked? that’s what i put but i haven’t seen it anywhere else

I think it was more along the lines of:

A study found that continued exposure to music ____ blood pressure regulation. Other scientists found inconclusive evidence, which ______ the correlation.

^^Yes. 10char

I agree, but if it could not quantify the correlation, the quantify option could still be valid. Still looking for that first word.

I also put impair/minimize.

Didn’t think of that, but yes that would work.

Susie, that sentence is waaaaaaaaaaay off. You added in an extra backstory about two groups of scientists.

Some scientists believe that exposure to (sharp?) sound _______ blood pressure regulation, leading to hypertension; however, recent studies were inconclusive, _____ the correlation.

Still not quite right, but that’s closer.

Does anyone remember what they put for the question on the very first passage (I think) that was like “What were the tones of the last sentences of the passages, respectively” or something?

It was the one with the brains/genome.

I put…cautious/something else

If the science question was closer to aarelle’s or gajolo’s sentence, I don’t see how impair/minimize could be incorrect.

^ Reposting

yeah, there was an idiot kid who wouldn’t shut up. I was out of time so i too put the cautious option.

If that’s the correct sentence, that buttress makes no sense in the 2nd blank. I’m such a fool…

Does anyone remember the question in the math section that had something to do with a rate of 2r-4 and you had to find something in 2 hours. Is the answer 4r-8…?

Cautionary/Stirring was right. Passage 1 ended on the note that just because the mind was awesome doesn’t make Descartes any more right, so watch out. Passage 2 ended on the note that the fact that the mind is simply made physically is awesome, because it means we’re so much more connected to the rest of the world etc.

Yes, 4r-8
(Or was it +8? Either way, it was just 2*(2r-4).)

iroyal,

wait did they put both 4r+8 AND 4r-8?

cuz i screwd up fo sho if they did

I also put cautionary/stirring, agreed.

ok, thanks!

whodareswins; Ahh, I’m not sure actually, but all I remember is that I put 4r-8

There was both 4r-8 and +8, the answer was -8.

Really? Hmm… Hopefully I didn’t make a careless mistake there. I think I got that one.

Well…it’s official. I have no clue how I did. :)

r u sure it was 4r-8, and if it was , was it choice E.

How was the test compared to the practice PSAT booklet test? !!
