PSAT 2010 Wednesday General Discussion

^CR was harder, Writing was easier, Math was the same.
^^It was choice E.

^^^Was there more to that question? What was it asking?

thnx MaSaysImSpecial, i did put e but for some reason i remeber 4 r +8 for than answer choice.

I thought CR = harder, Writing = a bit harder, Math = easier

was affronted answer choice E???

projected curves:

math
-1=76
-2=72
-3=70

writing
-1=77
-2=73
-3=70

Critical reading
-1=78
-2=76
-3=74
-4=72
-5=70

the first cr section was harder than the second
math was okay. evenly so/so
writing was easier than math and cr

How significant is this scholarship?

Like…if you don’t get it, does it have an impact on your application? :/

Oh f**** i probably screwed up the 4r-8 question, typical idiot me.

Gosh, i hope the CR section is that generous.

do any of u remember one with an answer choice of breadth of knowledge. sorry if this has already been addressed.

Yes, I put that the father’s reading of books about Egypt was included to show the breadth of his knowledge.

also , why do psats take so long to grade, the sats are longer and have an essay and the score comes back in 3 weeks.

thnx pruple potaoto

hey month 4 is choice b or d?

@ spngebob, yes i think it was e, disgusted was a and i dont remeber the rest

i second purplepotato- that was the blatant option

belly, i remeber c or d

altamash - I think because of other things involved - i.e. College Search Service, National Merit - get first priority to see results. Like when I took the PSAT last year as a soph., I got letters from colleges a month after I took my test… and didn’t get my actual results til mid-December.

Also, in the Writing section today, how many “no errors” did people get in the section where you had to identify the sentence error? and where? I got 4, and there were 2 towards the end.

The curves are so nasty! ;_;

On the section with 4 underlined segments and the No Error option?

I only found 2 sentences without an error. One was early in the section and the other was near the middle, a bit closer to the end. I don’t remember the first, but the second NE I chose was on the sentence about Eleanor Roosevelt, beginning with “Departing from…”
