Does anyone clearly remember the Egypt one- i put no error

^ No, it was not No Error. The tense of one of the verbs was wrong. I believe the answer was D.

damnit (we still haven’t confirmed this though), there’s one wrong for me.

I had be built (D) changing to have been built. Said it in my mind several times. If there’s any section I’m confident with, it’s writing.

yup you’ve got it SharkSAT

I really lost my concentration on this section and almost lost hope. I got 5 Es… Ok well, did anyone know that answer the the last question in the identifying sentence error section? The underline words for A was “has reported”.

^If you can remember the question fully I’d be able to tell you.

^ ^ It was something like the reporter has reported blah blah blah. And I put A cause I ran out of time and that was only thing I read. But besides that, I thought writing was fairly easy. Well, compared to CR.

^ I agree with insure and younger but can’t remember what I put for the rest.

In the one under improving paragraphs, there was a sentence to be added before one of the last sentences in the essay, something about “others contend…”, do you guys remember that?

What was the full insure question?

I disagree with this. In the original sentence, I do not recall the “to” being underlined. If it had been, you would be correct, but it was not. “…thought to have been built” does not sound right. I say this is no error.
EDIT: other than this, I agree with everything else.

I thought the Egypt one was no error…

it was something like- “our instructor insured us that the equipment was secure”

The sentence went “the pyramid was founded to be built 4300 years ago”. Have been built makes more sense there imho.

It’s definitely “have been built”, especially when the alternative is “be built”. Would you say “The pyramids are built in 4500 BC”? This question is the same—you would say “thought to have been built”, not “thought to be built”. Even if you wouldn’t say “thought to have been built”, all that matters is that “thought to be built” is incorrect.

I’m not sure of the exact wording of the Egypt one, but it goes something along the lines of:

A historian has reported … something about the ruins believed to be built for the founder (think founder might be choice D) of some dynasty of the New Kingdom.

^^^the thing about this question was that, for me, if the “to” HAD been underlined, it would be the right answer. However, I didn’t see it underlined. I’ve never seen a correct sentence that goes like “I was told to had/have been in the room.” I don’t think have been or had been can go after a “to”. Still, I was indeed hesitating on this one.
