PSAT 2011 Saturday General Discussion

It’s make, dude.

it could be make, if population growth and cultural diversity still make the place interesting. i think so.

What do you guys think my score will be if…
-0 math, - 4(or 5) CR, -0 or 1 writing

Why did you guys insert the statement after Sentence 5?

I am pretty sure it is supposed to be after Sentence 8, because there is continuity in thought and it makes more logical sense.

hmmm… well i put make, hopefully it is right

5 because it talked about creating one giant building that would eliminate the need of going outside.

i think sentence 5 talked about being able to move from store to store in one building, and the inserted sentence talked about transportation and having a controlled climate without traffic, etc.

Argh, what were the other choices?

Was 5 or 8 choice C??

Did you guys get 2 for 2 grid-ins?

Lololol yeah that was funny
@ so

once you’re over the threshold for NMSF, does it matter how high your score is? (other than for predicting your SAT score)

It was sentence 5 indeed.

And

Math: 80
CR: 70-71
Writing: 80 (0), 77-78 (1)

227 using lowest estimates

I put “make” for the one you guys are talking about

I don’t think so. Just score well on the SAT.

No. It just counts for your ego.

anyone remember the writing one about horses running? i said “achieve it” was incorrect because i thought “it” was missing an antecedent

So did anyone get 2 twice on the grid-ins?
@GM: you’re right

anyone remember putting these 2 answers for the “pottery” Short Comp

-acknowledge an important topic that was not discussed in the passage
-pragmatism

“Someone” was excited to present “some board” onto which colors are “put” when flipping the switch to activate the ceiling lights.

Does anyone remember the true words that belong in the quotes? Also, can’t the gerund flipping the switch act as a noun in that dependent clause?

wait, how much higher is the finalist cutoff than the semi?

^^^Yes, those are the correct answers.
